Simple And Real Life Story Of Rodrigo Roa Duterte, The 16th President Of The Philippines

Rodrigo Duterte was supported by many Filipinos for the sole reason that he knows how it feels to be down and simple like a normal citizen of the Philippines. He does not whine about the simplest things such as the place he lives in or the place where he eats his meal.  

This is the reason why people loved him. He is 'pang-masa' as they say. 

Here are the list of things to know about our 16th president. 

Rodrigo Roa Duterte is dubbed as the 'Duterte Harry' of Davao City. He was born on the 28th of March 1945. 

He is the son of Soledad Roa who is a school teacher while his father is Vicente Duterte who is the last governor of Davao up until it was divided in the mid 50's. 

When he earn a high school diploma, he immediately took law in San Beda College and fortunately passed the bar exams. 

He served as the prosecutor of Davao from 1977 to 1986. He was then appointed as the Vice-Mayor in charge of Davao in 1986-1987, after the people power revolution.

It is not only the candidates who battles out with their opponents, their families and friends are also doing their best to protect each other and give out comments among other candidates. 

Now, the newest controversy includes the woman named Sofia Romualdez who is the daughter of the newly proclaimed Mayor of Tacloban City, Cristina Gonzales-Romualdez and Alfrend Romualdez. 

Sofia made a foul comment towards Leni Robredo claiming that she does not know anything about politics.


The people immediately noticed this and commented by saying that she should learn to respect others.

Duterte To Add 96 More Trains To MRT! Must Watch!

The commuters and the train passengers only want one thing for the upcoming administration to work on. And that it being able to ride the MRT with ease and comfort. This is one of the plans of presumptive president Rodrigo Duterte as he is now in talks with the owner of the MRT. 

Robert Sobrepena, the chairman of the MRT Holdings, Inc., he said that he is now having discussions with the soon-to-be president in line with giving the commuters a better experience when using the MRT. 


They are planning to add 96 more trains that passed the standards of the quality team. They want to have a fast-track rehabilitation of the said MRT. 

Plans of making this fast-track rehabilitation is now being discussed.
